Junior support consultant

Learn Salesforce on real client platforms, with a team that already knows them and will show you how they fit together.

About the role

Our support practice isn't a ticket queue with a service level agreement stapled to it. The same small team looks after the same clients, which means you get to know their platform, their people and their quirks properly.

This is where you learn the work. You'll pick up requests from day one, with someone senior beside you who already knows how each client's org is built. As you find your feet, you take on more of the fixing, then the finding: spotting the recurring problem and fixing the cause.

What you would be doing

  • Pick up and resolve support requests, with a senior consultant to check in with
  • Make configuration changes in Salesforce: users, fields, page layouts, reports and simple flows
  • Write the answer down, so the next person to ask gets it faster
  • Help with release readiness checks ahead of each Salesforce release
  • Keep clients updated while their request is still open
  • Flag the requests that keep coming back, so the team can fix the cause

What we are after

  • Some hands-on time with Salesforce, as an admin, a power user, through Trailhead or a course
  • Clear writing, especially when you're explaining something to someone who's stuck
  • Curiosity about why something broke, not just how to make it go away
  • Comfort asking a question when you don't know the answer
  • Patience with people having a bad morning

Nice, not necessary

  • Salesforce Administrator certification, or working towards it
  • Experience in any customer-facing role
  • An interest in how businesses run their sales, service or operations

The part people find hardest

Interruption. Support is reactive by design, and a good plan for the day survives until about 9.40am. You won't be on your own with it: there's always someone senior to ask. But if constant context switching drains you, be honest with yourself here.

How we hire

  1. A conversation, not a screen

A phone or video call with our HR team. We'll talk through the role, the client mix and the parts of the job people find hardest.

  2. Meet the team

A couple of people you would work alongside. It's your chance to see if it feels right, and ask the questions you didn't ask on the first call.

  3. Offer, and references

We move within a week of the last conversation. References at the end, only with your say-so, and never to your current employer without asking.
